Malagati Shiva temple is attached to Badami fort. It was built by the Chalukyas in 6th century. The Chalukyas followed Shaivism but were liberal with Vaishnavism and Jainism. .

The temple has a simple Chalukyan architecture with sculptures on all its side. The temple is located on top of a small hillock with a beautiful garden. It is one of the best places in Badami to spend some spiritual time at sunset. ???? Karnataka, Indian Contents ???????? Pc – Ashwin
