Chennakeshava temple, Turuvekere, Karnataka, is located 71 km south-west of Tumakuru.
The Ekakuta (single shrine) temple in typical Hoysala style was built around 1263 CE during the reign of king Narasimha III.
The temple has all elements of a standard Hoysala temple – Shikhara (Tower), Sukhanasi (vestibule), Maha mantapa, Mukha mantapa, with ornamented inner and outer walls.
Turuvekere has 3 more marvels – Moole Shankareshwara temple, Gangadhareshwara temple and Sri Beteraya temple.
