This is the infamous Shrine of Mae Nak of Phra Khanong in Wat Maha But – Bangkok, Thailand. Mae Nak is the scariest Ghost Legend of Thailand. The story in short is – Mae Nak’s husband joined the army in war while she was still pregnant. She and the baby died in childbirth but when her husband came back from war she and the baby was home and they just looked like normal people. They lived as a normal family for a few months but the village people would refuse to visit them or even venture near their house. Well, eventually Mae Nak’s husband found out the truth and her spirit became very angry, and so the story goes.
