Thank You @best_of_prs for contributing this wonderful photo. This enormous tower of #virupakshatemple is located in a place called Hampi. It was the capital of great Vijayanagara empire. It was the 2nd largest city in the world for wealth, area and grandness after Beijing. This was the reason behind Portuguese trade with this great empire. It is believed that the markets of this place were fully filled with diamonds, pearls,gold and many more valued things. Now it is just a group of ruins leftover after sultanates defeated the Empire!
